The administrators and staff of Heights High School cordially invite you to Curriculum Night, Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Our Curriculum Night provides an opportunity for you to meet the teachers and to get an overview of your student's courses. It is also an opportunity for the faculty to meet you and to let you know how much they appreciate your support and your involvement in Heights High School.

We are looking forward to an exciting and productive year in 2023-2024. Curriculum Night is a very important part of our communication process, so we hope you will join us on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Please print student schedule or be able to access on HISD Connect prior to September 12. Between 5:30-5:45 PM in the cafeteria we will help logging in or setting up access to HISD Connect if needed. Class visits will begin at 5:45 and follow schedule below.

From Ms. Hampton:  Please fill out these forms and have your student return them to their first or second period teacher.  It is important that we get this information. Please keep in mind that you can fill out most of this information digitally for your children with HISD Connect.  Most of these forms have to do with mandatory reporting and it helps us report correct information.

HISD Connect is an online service that allows registered users (i.e., parents and students) to log in to access a variety of student information, see class assignments, etc.. Users can also choose to have an e-mail or text message sent if a child's grades drop below a selected average or is absent or tardy to class.  Information that Parent Portal provides access to includes:

• Period and Daily Attendance
• Class Schedules and Assignments
• Progress Reports
• Report Cards
• Parent and Student Resources

Please see this HHS guide to create an account for first time HISD students. If you need assistance setting up a HISD Connect account, please contact the administrative assistant in your grade level office.

Teachers: Don’t miss out on the $100 Teacher Supply reimbursement!  The PTO will reimburse every Heights High teacher up to $100 for classroom supplies. All you need to do is fill out the Teacher Supply Reimbursement Form, which can be found on our Forms and Documents page, attach your receipts, and submit online via the form. 

Teachers/Staff….this is for you!  The PTO will pay up to $1000 for a teacher grant to support you and your class needs.  The online teacher grant request form will officially open up on August 15th! Funds are limited so try to get your requests in early.  Please email Aimee Flood at grants@heightspto.org with any questions you may have.

You might already be aware of how our college-bound students here at Heights keep our college center busy all year long. We believe that our parents would be the ideal volunteers to lend a hand with the various events and projects we have in the pipeline.
