| Are you a native Spanish speaker and want to earn college credit? |
If you pass the AP Spanish Language exam you can earn:
- Earn up to 4 credits of Spanish for High School credit
- Earn up to 12 hours of college credit
- Earn Arts & Humanities endorsement if you meet all other criteria for DLA
- Increase chances for off campus periods as a Senior
- Allows you to take weighted classes and not have GPA impacted by taking an unweighted elective class
- Allows for more flexibility in your schedule!
To take the Spanish Language exam for free you will need to register with Ms. Martinez in room M322 or email her at (NMARTIN3@houstonisd.org). The deadline to register is November 13th and the exam will be on Thursday, May 16th in the morning. Take advantage of this free opportunity to potentially save time and money in the future! |

From Ms. Hampton: Please fill out these forms and have your student return them to their first or second period teacher. It is important that we get this information. Please keep in mind that you can fill out most of this information digitally for your children with HISD Connect. Most of these forms have to do with mandatory reporting and it helps us report correct information. - Socioeconomic Information Form

HISD Connect is an online service that allows registered users (i.e., parents and students) to log in to access a variety of student information, see class assignments, etc.. Users can also choose to have an e-mail or text message sent if a child's grades drop below a selected average or is absent from class. Information that Parent Portal provides access to includes: - Period and Daily Attendance
- Class Schedules and Assignments
- Progress Reports
- Report Cards
- Parent and Student Resources

| The much-anticipated Magnet Thursday Tours are back! |
Tours will run every Thursday from October 19th, 2023 to December 7th, 2023 @ 1:30pm. Parents, you MUST sign up on our sign-up genius (CLICK HERE). Due to high demand, we cannot accommodate walk-ins. Make sure you pick a date early, because the slots fill up fast. Once you have signed up, make sure you arrive between 1:15 pm -1:30 pm on the Thursday you selected. Can’t wait to meet y’all! | Senior Photos - NEW DATES HAVE BEEN ADDED |
Please register online to take your cap & gown photo off-campus at Legacy Studio. Dates have already begun, so check the studio schedule as soon as possible. If spots are filled, keep checking back. The studio will continue to open slots on an ongoing basis. Every student is encouraged to take their photo for the yearbook, even if you don’t plan to purchase photos. There is a FREE sitting fee for this option.
