Ticket sales closed April 8th.  But remember you can bid even if you aren't attending!  Silent auction and Instabuy items will go live on Friday the 12th at NOON.

Sponsor a Staff Member

We still have staff members who need their tickets sponsored.  Please visit https://qtego.us/qlink/heightspto to buy one or more tickets so our staff can have a great time!

Instabuys

The Bash has LOTS of Instabuy items available for purchase.  From an Italian dinner to wine tasting events, from a card game evening to a mixology class, from yoga to a fiesta Friday. There is something for everyone!  All Instabuys will be available at noon on Friday. Buy early to make sure you don’t miss out!

Proxy Vote for Live Auction

Our AMAZING Live Auction items are available for viewing now, under Event Items.  Can’t attend, but still want to bid on live auction items?  This year we are offering proxy bidding.  Please email auction@heightspto.org for more information

Lodge BYOB Rules

Your Bash ticket comes with two drink coupons that can be redeemed for wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.  BUT the Lodge is also BYOB, with a few exceptions.  All beer, soda, ice and mixers must be purchased from the Lodge bar.  Don’t want to bring your own wine?  Buy one or more bottles from our Wine Pull.  And remember to bring your wine openers!

Safe Drive with Alto

If you plan on drinking during the Bash, please consider a rideshare for the evening.  We have partnered with Alto to get you to/from the event safely.  Sign up for a free 14-day trial, enter the promo code BULLDOGBASH and receive $15 off your 2 Alto rides.

Raise the Flag

Raise the Flag!  Raise the Flag is back for this year's auction, but this year you participate by “voting” for your favorite school via an online donation (of any size, big or small) on our auction platform.   Each $1 donation = one vote.  All votes for all schools will be donations to the PTO, and the school with the highest vote will fly their flag over Heights HS for the next year!  Currently UH, UT, A&M, LSU, and Baylor are set up to receive votes.  Don't see your favorite school?  Email auction@heightspto.org and we'll add it!

From the College Center:  FAFSA INFORMATION!!  Do not submit a paper FAFSA form.

Submitting a paper form is not recommended by colleges. It will make the process even more difficult. We receive updates from colleges daily that ask us to make sure students are only submitting online. I know there is so much information going around, so it’s confusing. This FAFSA issue has been the biggest headache. But we are not giving up and guarantee that ALL students eligible for the FAFSA will get it submitted. Also, the Texas priority deadline was moved to April 15th.  We have ways to help students that have glitch issues. Since spring break, there have been many updates to all the problems. Please remind the students and parents to check with the College Center if they need help. Heights is planning one more evening workshop before 4/15.

Community in the Classroom @ Heights HS
Community in the Classroom @ Heights HS

We were delighted to host our inaugural “Community in the Classroom” event last semester at Heights High School, spearheaded by Ms. Natalie Martinez, our MYP Coordinator, alongside sophomore parents Dawn Cole and Christine Anderson. This event brought together community members who generously shared their insights on various life aspects beyond high school, encompassing career paths, overcoming obstacles, teamwork, international mindedness, community service, and financial literacy.

The willingness of these community members to invest their time, expertise, and personal experiences in our students is truly commendable and deeply appreciated. Their involvement has had a profound impact on shaping the educational journey of our sophomores, equipping them with invaluable insights and inspiration for their future pursuits.

If you too are passionate about contributing to our students' growth and would like to participate in the next event, we warmly welcome your involvement. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Dawn Cole via email to express your interest.

Thank you once again to all who contributed to the success of our inaugural “Community in the Classroom” event. Your dedication to our students' education is truly commendable, and we look forward to continuing this enriching tradition together.
