| Beautification Day was a SUCCESS |
Approximately 75 Bulldogs came together on Saturday May 4th for the first Bulldog Beautification Day, sponsored by the PTO. Projects included lots and lots of trash pickup, removing dead shrubs, dusting library and trophy cases and shelves, repainting the Bulldog paw prints, removing gum from under tables in the cafeteria and other locations, planting new shrubs, painting over the removed mirrors in the girls bathrooms, pressure washing the side of the staff parking garage and, finally, helping Mr. Tolantino move half of a storage space to a new location on campus. We can’t wait to do it again next year! Check out photos from the day here. A special thanks to the following businesses who donated baked goods to fuel our Bulldogs: Local Table on 34th, Kolache Shoppe, Melange Creperie, and LSB Baking Creations. |

| Finals Schedule, Grades 9-11 |
From Ms Hampton: At this time, we’ve been given the go ahead to move forward with exam exemptions. Should this change we will notify the community as soon as possible. The exemption policy is as follows: Grade 9 students may be allowed one spring final exam exemption; two spring final exam exemptions may be allowed for eligible 10th and 11th graders. Eligible students are those with no more than three (3) absences in any one course for the duration of the semester. In addition, eligible students must have an 85 or higher semester average in the specific course(s) where the final exam exemption is applied. Students are expected to be in attendance for all exams even if they are exempt. Missing a final exam will result in a zero on the report card until the final exam is made up. The make-up period is June 10-21, 2024. After that date the zero is final. If a student has exempted an exam and is absent, the absence could cause the students to lose exemption status and/or could cause an NG resulting in a loss of credit. First Lunch consists of students in the M building and the G building Second Lunch consists of students in the A and V Building |

| REMIND: @6f279c INSTAGRAM: @hhs.co24 FACEBOOK GROUP: @heights2024 Senior Final Exam Schedule – May 16-22 Seniors will follow the regular bell schedule and all senior finals will be held during the 90-minute class periods. Teachers will work individually with students who need extended time. Seniors who have an 85 or higher average and three absences or less may exempt the final for that class if they choose.
Senior Attendance Expectations for May 23 – 31 Seniors will continue to attend their regularly scheduled classes May 23 through May 30. Students who need credit recovery, credit appeal, TSIA2 test administration, IBC administration or some other requirement for graduation that has not been met will be identified and supported in meeting that requirement. Students must be in attendance for all classes. Failure to attend may trigger additional NGs and could impact your eligibility to graduate. We have tentatively scheduled the following senior activities during this time as well: Senior Check-out will be held June 3-5 Seniors will be required to sign-in each day of senior check-out to receive attendance credit. Failure to be in attendance may result in additional NGs and credit appeal may not be available. This may impact your ability to graduate with your classmates. Your next chance to graduate will be in August.
