Bulldog Families, As we begin the second week of school, I wanted to share a few reminders with you all. We will be on a regular weekly schedule starting this week. Monday students will attend period 1 - 8. Tuesday and Thursday will be A days (periods 1,3,5,7) and Wednesday and Friday are B days (periods 2,4,6,8)... | A growing PTO is a healthy PTO and we are growing! We have added THREE new chairs this year to expand our support of the HHS community. Please welcome our newest chairs. And feel free to reach out to them with any support you can provide. We love our volunteers!
Library Chair - Dawn Cole, library@heightspto.org. Dawn will keep the library open and vibrant for students and staff. Beautification Chair - Melane Gehman, beautification@heightspto.org. Melanie will head up our Bulldog Beautification Day as well as various community clean up events through the year. Advocacy Chair - Amy Maddux, advocacy@heightspto.org. Amy will keep our community informed of HISD meetings and of opportunities to advocate for increased public education funding during the upcoming Legislative session. |

All APPROVED background checks in the HISD VIPS (Volunteer In Public Schools) expired on July 31, 2024. You have to renew your application every school year. | HEIGHTS HS PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIP |
We invite all parents, family, guardians, teachers and students to join the Heights High School Parent Teacher Organization - HHS PTO. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join! HHS PTO works very hard raising money to fund services, programs, and materials that are not covered in the school budget. All of the money raised by the PTO, including membership fees, stays 100% at our school. It is *not* mandatory for members to attend meetings or volunteer, but members are very welcome to contribute in a way that works for you! We have general meetings throughout the year. Exact dates and times of our general meetings will always be posted to Facebook and Instagram and in our PTO newsletter. There are six membership levels for the 2024-2025 HHS PTO. You can print or pick up at the grade level principal’s office. The Home Lunch Permit will not be issued until the application has been signed by the parent/guardian and returned with a copy of the parent/guardian’s driving license or state issued ID. Off-Campus Lunch Permit requests must be submitted to the appropriate grade level principal. All Fall requests must be submitted to their grade level principals no later than August 26, 2024. .......... |
