Bulldog Families, Just a couple of updates for the end of the second week…we will start with some good news! First, our students were provided a treat today at lunch compliments of HISD as Heights was one of the high growth campuses on STAAR EOC. Second, I was notified today that transportation for our band to attend football games will be funded through the district so all band members and cheerleaders will be able to attend all football games! We are extremely grateful that the fine arts department will be able to take care of this expense!................ |

| A growing PTO is a healthy PTO and we are growing! We have added THREE new chairs this year to expand our support of the HHS community. Please welcome our newest chairs. And feel free to reach out to them with any support you can provide. We love our volunteers!
Library Chair - Dawn Cole, library@heightspto.org. Dawn will keep the library open and vibrant for students and staff. Beautification Chair - Melane Gehman, beautification@heightspto.org. Melanie will head up our Bulldog Beautification Day as well as various community clean up events through the year. Advocacy Chair - Amy Maddux, advocacy@heightspto.org. Amy will keep our community informed of HISD meetings and of opportunities to advocate for increased public education funding during the upcoming Legislative session. |

| HEIGHTS HS PTO MEMBERSHIP |
We invite all parents, family, guardians, teachers and students to join the Heights High School Parent Teacher Organization - HHS PTO. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join! HHS PTO works very hard raising money to fund services, programs, and materials that are not covered in the school budget. All of the money raised by the PTO, including membership fees, stays 100% at our school. It is *not* mandatory for members to attend meetings or volunteer, but members are very welcome to contribute in a way that works for you! We have general meetings throughout the year. Exact dates and times of our general meetings will always be posted to Facebook and Instagram and in our PTO newsletter. There are six membership levels for the 2024-2025 HHS PTO.
