TUESDAY IS ELECTION DAY!
TUESDAY IS ELECTION DAY!

TODAY!  Tuesday, November 5th is Election Day!  If you did not vote early, be sure to vote today!  Polls are open from 7am to 7pm.  As long as you are in line by 7pm you can vote.  You can vote at ANY polling location in Harris County.  Heights HS is a polling location, so you can vote right here!  Enter on 14th Street and go to the practice gym.  You can also check Harris Votes to see if another polling location is more convenient.

The only HISD-specific initiative on the ballot is the HISD Bond Props A and B.  If you would like to learn more about reasons that voters are for or against the HISD bond under the Miles administration here are some resources:
Pro-Bond:

Good Reason Houston

Against the Bond:

Miles to Go:  No Trust, No Bond on Facebook or Instagram

The Houston Chronicle also makes endorsements on all local races, including the HISD Bond.

Congratulations to our many Bulldog seniors who are voting for the very first time!

The Great HHS Clean Up!
The Great HHS Clean Up!
The small but mighty Beautification Crew has been hard at work. We picked up litter, super volunteer Alex Valdez trimmed trees along the walkways on campus, and we cleaned up debris under the field bleachers. We are currently working to repair damaged bleachers and fix a leaking sprinkler under the bulldog.

Would you like to volunteer at your own time on the weekends? just an hour of work makes a huge difference. Join our crew! Email beautification@heightspto.org.

Join us for a day of service on 16 November, 9:00 - 11:30. Don't forget your water bottles and garden gloves!

This is an easy way to earn service hours, get some time in the sunshine, and help your school.
