Heights Robotics Team places 3rd at the B.E.S.T. robotics tournament on November 16th. The team was lead by 12th graders Nadiyah Russell, Carl Mackey, Thomas Jans, and Andrew Parra. They were supported by parent volunteer Mr. Shah. The team spent the last month designing and building the robot to perform a variety of tasks on a simulated moon rover mission to repair broken equipment and collect samples. The team overcame many challenges during their 9 matches. These challenges included total robot failure and deciding on and implementing a winning strategy during the course of the day.
