| The new Texas Legislative session begins next month. If you did not know, the Texas Legislature only meets every other year (in odd-numbered years). Public education will be a big topic in the 2025 legislative session. Did you know that Texas ranks in the bottom 10 states (#42) in per-student funding? Every parent and community member can advocate for public education at the state level. A great resource is Raise Your Hand Texas. Sign up for their newsletter to stay informed regarding ways that you can advocate. |
