The PTO is working with our awesome Communities in Schools partners to resurrect Project Prom for Heights, Waltrip and Northside High Schools.  Project Prom is an event where students can “shop”  for formal wear for the big event, for free!.  Please see the flyer for what and how to donate.  Monetary donations are also being accepted here, just add a note that the donation is for Project Prom.

Our Bulldog Fiesta committee invites you to the next meeting on Wednesday, February 12th 7pm @1602 Arlington St. Come meet new parents while having fun planning this fun event for our Bulldog Community.  If you want to donate or have questions, please send email to Auction@HeightsPTO.org.

HHS National Honor Society will have the Induction Ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 20th

If you would like to donate and/or volunteer, please sign up at the links below. The volunteers should be available to come in at 4:00 pm.  Students will lineup at 5:45 pm and they will be seated at 6:15 pm, The ceremony will start promptly at 6:30 pm.

Parents will park in the student parking lot; it is recommended to come around 5:30 pm and sit at the back of the performance hall.

Attention Parents: We want to celebrate your student’s accomplishments! 🎉 If your student has achieved something noteworthy in the community, academics, sports, or any other area, please share the details with us. These achievements may be featured on our social media and other communication channels. Submit your student's accomplishments by sending an email to Community@HeightsPTO.org. Let’s highlight their hard work and dedication!

HISD budget workshops will be held February 27, March 26, April 23, May 1, and May 22.  Stay tuned so you can advocate during the budget cycle for budget decisions that are best for students!  The Board of Managers will also hold a regular Board meeting on February 13.

Your student will need to complete either the FAFSA or TASFA and submit proof of completion as this is a graduation requirement for the state of Texas.

If you have completed the FAFSA, please submit your FAFSA Submission summary ASAP and update your status on Schoolinks.

If you have completed the TASFA please submit a screenshot of your 25-26 Texas Application for State Financial Aid email.

Heights HS PTO will offer $1,000 scholarships to 15 Class of 2025 Seniors. The scholarship committee will focus on students who may not otherwise receive scholarship support and have a strong commitment to furthering their education.

Requirements:

• Heights HS Senior 
• 3.25 GPA and above
• Plan to attend college/university in Fall 2025 
• Consistent attendance 
• Demonstrated financial need
